The University of South Florida Physical Plant division houses the USF Key Shop. Information regarding the request, transfer and return of USF issued keys can be found at http://www.pplant.usf.edu/BldgMtn.htm. To request a new key for incoming faculty or staff, please contact Douglas Williams at 974-2448 or dwilliams@admin.usf.edu .  He will send to you via campus mail (or you may pick-up) key request cards for your department. Your departmental office manager may also have key request cards on hand. Upon completion of the key request card, including a signature by your accountable officer. An accountable officer may NOT sign for his/her own key but must obtain a signature from a higher level, e.g. Dean or VP. Tear off the bottom carbon copy and return the form to the Key Shop, OPM 100. You will then receive a notification via campus mail to pick up your key at the Key Shop.YOU MUST SIGN YOUR KEY REQUEST CARD IN PERSON WHEN YOU PICK UP YOUR KEY SO PLEASE DO NOT SIGN DURING THE REQUEST STAGE! The Key Shop will keep a carbon for their records and return one for the receiver, and one for the departmental records.

The University of South Florida is currently in the process of switching all Tampa Campus buildings from exterior door locks to ID Card Access. Buildings will remain unlocked during normal business and academic calendar hours (approx. 7 a.m. - 10 p.m., Monday - Friday) but will be under card access control during the off hours. To be granted ID card access for your building(s), please contact your departmental office manager or chair, and they will give you access permission through the USF Card Access Control System https://bac.pplant.usf.edu/bacweb/. Only CAS designated Card Access Managers may access the system and add or remove access permissions for an individual.
