Space
Space is a very limited resource at the University of South Florida. While our academic
programs continue to grow at a rapid pace, the available space to meet those demands
in terms of the number of buildings, labs and offices available for our Departments
grows slowly. However, the College recently moved into the Natural and Environmental
Sciences Building (NES) and completely renovated the Chemistry Building (CHE). In
addition, the State has just approved the building of a new Interdisciplinary Sciences
Building A (ISA) for USF and the College. ISA is currently in the planning stages
with a completion date of Spring Semester 2009. This building will allow the College
of Arts & Sciences to free up space in other buildings for non-science departments
to expand.
